An ancient Egyptian green faience amulet of Thoth, god of learning and writing. He is depicted in stride with hands at the sides of his kilt. The back pillar pierced for suspension.

Thoth played a role in maintaining the universe, along with his wife Maat (truth). Thoth was also heavily associated with scribal procedures and writing, and by extension with magic, science, and judgment.
