Villanovan Bronze Horse Bit

An ancient Villanovan bronze horse bit attachment in the form of a stylized pair of horses conjoined back-to-back along a central horizontal bar with loops at the bottom for attachment to the bit.

Northern Italy.
Ca. 8th - 7th century BC.
