Vespasian was born in Falacrina, he rose to command during the invasion of Britain in 43 AD. After a period as a mule dealer, he was appointed by Nero to quell the Jewish Revolt, which he did. He was proclaimed emperor in Alexandria, defeated Vitellius at Cremona, and died in Reate.
