Two ancient Bronze Age Danubian Culture terracotta abstract figures of women in dresses with incised scrolling designs enhanced with white lime.

Ca. 1500 - 1000 BC.
Height: 2 1/8 in. (5.5 cm); 1 1/8 in. (3 cm).

The Bronze Age cultures of the lower Danube basin produced a distinctive abstract terracotta figural form that was often placed in graves. The bell-shaped abstract figures represent women with abbreviated heads and limbs in cloth dresses adorned with coiled and spiraled designs.
