An ancient Roman pottery oil lamp with an image of kneeling contemplative boxer wearing caetsi in the center discus.

Gallic or British workshop.
Ca. 75 -125 AD.
Length: 3 1/2 in. (9 cm).

A full lamp of this type would burn for two or three hours.Loeschcke Type IV.
