Egyptian Faience Pataikos Amulet

An ancient Egyptian blue faience amulet of the bandy-legged dwarf god Pataikos, with a loop on the back for suspension.

Late Period,
Ca. 700 - 30 BC.
Height: 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm).

Pataikos or Ptah the dwarf, was generally depicted as a broad-headed, bandy legged, youthful, sometimes janiform, dwarf. He was the protector of children.
