Egyptian Faience Amulet of Khnum

An ancient Egyptian blue faience amulet of the ram headed god Khnum in a kilt striding on an integral plinth, his hands at his sides.

Late Dynastic Period,
Ca. 715 - 332 BC.
Height: 2 in. (5.1 cm).

Khnum was the Egytpian creator god who fashioned humans from clay on the potter’s wheel. As the Lord of Elephantine, he was associated with the inundation of the Nile.
