An ancient Attic Greek black-figure krater handle fragment with a Siren, her wings raised.

Athens, Attica.
Ca. 530 - 500 BC.
Height: 2 1/2 in. (6.5 cm).
Formerly in the Muhlenberg Anthropological Museum; excavated at Abydos, Egypt by the Egyptian Exploration Fund in 1917; subsequently in the collection of Charles Alexander Robinson, Jr. (1900-1965) New Jersey.
