Anatolian Marble Kusura Idol

An ancient Anatolian marble idol of the highly stylized Kusura type a long neck, angular shoulders, and rounded lower body.

Early Bronze Age.
Ca. 2800 - 2600 BC.
Height: 3 in. (7.5 cm).

These bronze age stylized figures are named for the site of Kusura near the marble quarries of Afyon in Anatolia, where a number of them first came to light.
