An ancient Phrygian bronze semi-circular fibula or brooch, a cloak pin, with prominent knobs.

Phrygia, Anatolia.

Ca. 8th - 7th century ? BC.

Length: 2 3/4 in. (7 cm).

In the 8th century BC, the Phrygian bow brooch or fibula became the most prevalent type in Asia Minor. They are of semicircular arched form decorated with knobs, ridges, and volutes.
