An ancient Phrygian bronze brooch or fibula of angular bow-form.

Ca. 8th - 6th century BC.

Length: 1 3/4 in. (4.5 cm).

In the 8th century BC, the Phrygian bow brooch or fibulae becme the most prevalent type in Asia Minor. They are of semi-circular arched form decorated with knobs, ridges, and volutes.
