An ancient Egyptian limestone relief fragment with a cartouche for the Pharaoh Intef II, with hieroglyphics that read: “Son of Re, Inyotef-aa, creator of goodness forever.”
Wahankh Intef II (also Inyotef II) was the third ruler of the 11th Dynasty of the First Intermediate Period. At the time, Egypt was split between several local dynasties. He reigned for almost fifty years from 2112 to 2063 BC. His capital was located at Thebes where several monuments bear his name. He was buried in a saff tomb at El-Tarif.
