Egyptian Faience Ram Amulet

An ancient Egyptian faience amulet of a recumbent ram with prominent horns on an integral plinth with a suspension loop on the back. The ram was associated with the god Khnum.

Late Period.
Ca. 700 - 30 BC.
Length: 1 1/2 in (4 cm).

Khnum was the Egytpian creator god who fashioned humans from clay on the potter’s wheel. He was associated with the inundation of the Nile.
