An ancient Egyptian New Kingdom breccia cylindrical jar, tapering from the lip toward a slightly flared flattened base.

New Kingdom.
Ca. 1550 - 1070 BC.
Height: 2 1/4 in. (5.75 cm).

The shape of this vase is paralleled by ceramic vessels of the same period commonly used for tomb offerings.

Formerly in the collection of Jerome Eisenberg, New York, acquired from Charles Ede, London.
