Middle Kingdom,
Ca. 1985 -1795 BC.
Height: 1 7/8 in. (4.7 cm).

Alabaster unguent jars were used to store beauty contents of perfumes and creams of Ancient Egyptians.

Formerly in a Connecticut private collection, acquired in the 1960's.
