An ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom banded alabaster bell shaped unguent vase with short cylindrical neck and two vestigal lug handles.

Height: 2 5/8 in. (7 cm.)

Alabaster was prized by the ancient Egyptians for its translucence and decorative veining, qualities which were further emphasized in the carving process.
