An ancient Canosan Greek terracotta statuette of a woman holding a basket full of aryballoi. She wears a himation trimmed in pink over a chiton, her auburn hair bound beneath a garland.

Apulia, Magna Graecia.
Ca. 350 - 300 BC.
Height: 10 3/4 in. (27.3 cm).

Canosa was a prosperous early Greek colony in Apulia. It became an important commercial center and producer of fine pottery in the Hellenistic Period.
