Egyptian Terracotta Amulet Mold

Anancient Egyptian terracotta amulet mold for a square Wedjat Eye.

Late Period.
Ca. 700 - 30 BC.
Diameter: 1 3/4 in. (4.5 cm).

The mold was was created by pressing a master into wet clay. Terracotta being a coarse red clay would preserve the image as it dried.
